Hold a referendum on the final Brexit deal

We, the undersigned, call upon HM Government to give the people of this country the final say on the Brexit deal negotiated by the UK and EU. This would be done through a referendum that would take place prior to the April 2019 exit date.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/200004https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/200004

The Government must publish its own Brexit Impact/Risk Assessments

In the many months since the Brexit referendum in June 2016, government departments have prepared impact assessments which detail the consequences of Brexit for the UK’s economy in 50+ sectors. Why have these not been made public since it is the public at large that bears the risks?

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/200634

Ask the Government to Release the Brexit Impact Studie

The Government has conducted over fifty studies showing the impact that Brexit will have across our economy – but it’s refusing to share them. Don’t let them keep us in the dark on the true cost of Brexit – sign the petition below to release these studies.

Require HMRC to separate out the cost of Brexit on personal tax statements.

The UK Government is taking us out of the EU whatever the cost. During the referendum campaign, much was made of the cost of membership of the EU. There will be costs to leave the EU – public sector time, research and consultancy fees, legal costs, repayments, and so on. These should be shown.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/191887

Put the final Brexit deal to a referendum with revoking Article 50 as an option.

A leaked copy of a European parliament resolution setting out its stance on the Brexit negotiations suggests that the EU would be willing to allow the UK to revoke its Article 50 notification. This makes it imperative that the true will of the people is made known once there’s a final Brexit deal.

Article 50 – Not in my name

https://www.change.org/p/theresa-may-mp-article-50-not-in-my-name

EU – Offer European Citizenship to UK citizens

Since 1993, British citizens have been European citizens, living under the laws and support of the European Union. For many of us, this EU citizenship is a birthright. Britain has just voted in a referendum to leave the EU, stripping all UK citizens of their EU citizenship.

Those of us who voted to Remain in the EU membership referendum are left without recourse, unable to retain our EU citizenship if we wish to stay a part of this great continental project, to travel and work together in a connected Europe. This is deeply unjust.

The Good Law Project

The European Parliament wants you to have the chance to retain your citizenship rights. But our Government isn’t listening. Sign this petition so we can tell Theresa May what we think.

I am a citizen of the UK. I am a pensioner living in Spain. I am a student studying in Belgium. I am in love with an Italian woman. The man I married is German. I travel easily through Europe for my work. And I am European.

This is my identity. No one voted for me to lose my right to work and move freely in Europe. To study in Europe and to live with other Europeans. These are my freedoms. They belong to me and it is for no one to take them from me.

Pay £350m per week to NHS or re-run EU Referendum

The only slogan on the side of the Leave EU campaign bus stated in large letters that if we left the EU, £350m per week could go to the NHS. The government has now stated that this will not happen so the reason thousands voted for Brexit and the democratic will of the people has been ignored.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/171869

Brexit means laws previously written in Brussels will be written in Westminster instead. But does that mean we’ll get proper, democratic votes in parliament? Or will we just swap murky backroom deals in Brussels for murky backroom deals in Westminster? If we want proper votes on law changes after Brexit, we’re going to need to fight for them.

Stop the Brexit process and declare that Britain will remain in European Union.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/177312

Delay triggering Article 50 until after voters vote on the UK EU Exit Package.

The UK shouldn’t be forced to leave the EU on terms nobody voted for. Therefore, Article 50 should be delayed until after the people have had the final say by voting on whether to accept the terms of the deal or to stay in the EU on current terms.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/176687

Keep Britain in the Single Market

Theresa May’s Conservatives are getting ready to take Britain out of the Single Market.

Leaving the Single Market would be a disaster for jobs, businesses and the economy.

Keep Freedom of Movement

Millions of us benefit from free movement of people between the UK and the rest of Europe, whether it’s for travel, study, work, love, or a hundred other reasons.
It’s time to extend these benefits and share them more equally, not shut them down altogether.
We will always defend the principle of free movement, and we call on Theresa May to defend it too.

Hold a second EU referendum on the grounds that demographics have now changed.

We, the undersigned, would like to request that a second referendum on the United Kingdom’s membership of the EU should be held, due to the indication that demographics are now likely to have changed across the UK and many voters regret their decision on June 23rd.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/176339

Recognise Brexit is too costly, cancel and prioritise spending on the NHS

The costs of Brexit will be enormous – a shrunken economy wiping out any savings from leaving the EU with no guarantee after years of tough and costly renegotiation we will achieve better trade treaties. Accept this now by cancelling Brexit in order to concentrate on saving the NHS and our schools.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/159977

Debate the possibility that the “Will of the People” has changed since Brexit

It is becoming increasingly evident that the full implications of Brexit were not considered in the run-up to the Referendum. Numerous polls suggest that there would now be a clear majority for Remain

Fast track naturalisation for EU citizens resident in the UK longer than 5 years

In view of the vote to leave the EU, implement a simplified fast track process to naturalise EU citizens who have settled in the UK for at least five years. The current naturalisation process is too expensive, overlong and bureaucratic, and penalises mixed EU-UK families.

Show us the Money

Petition for the government to spend an extra £350 million a week on the NHS.

Vote Leave promised British people that they would spend £350 million more a week on our NHS. Now, leavers like Boris Johnson, Liam Fox and Andrea Leadsom are in government – but we haven’t heard anything about more spending for the NHS.

Indeed, the NHS seems to be facing a future of cuts and financial squeezes.

On Wednesday 23rd November, the Chancellor will stand up to give the Autumn Statement, where he will outline the government’s spending priorities. We need to get him to keep Vote Leave’s promise.

Public inquiry into misleading claims and pledges made during the EU referendum.

We the undersigned call upon HM government to perform an inquiry into the pledges and claims made during the EU referendum campaign that were intended to deceive the British public.

Misrepresenting the truth to get the British public to vote one way or another is an abuse of democracy.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/139525

United Kingdom to not leave the EU

We the undersigned wish to not leave the EU on the grounds that a four point difference in opinion is not sufficient enough to effect such a significant, life long change to our country.

Such a margin on a jury would not secure a verdict in a UK court of law, and should not secure a verdict here.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/133606

Stop the attacks on EU nationals

To Theresa May and the British government

Petition

EU nationals in Britain, are our friends, our family, our neighbours and our colleagues. They work in the NHS, in our schools and in our offices and factories. The British government must stop the dangerous and inflammatory rhetoric that cause huge worry and anxiety.

The Human Rights Act is an important act designed to protect each and every individual from inequality and injustice be it from another individual, corporations or our own government. As such the decision to remove or change that protection should, ultimately lie with the people of the UK.

Will you sign our petition to keep Britain in the Single Market?

The Single Market is vital for national prosperity, generating trade and investment and supporting millions of UK jobs, but vitally it also ensures fairness for working people through strong employment rights and protects our environment through high standards. The starting point for negotiating the best deal for our economy is for Britain to be in the Single Market.

Protect Workers’ Rights

Petition for British workers’ rights to be protected.

Save studying abroad

Protect The Laws Of Nature

The environment could soon come under attack from politicians and corporations who want to use Brexit to harm nature. Decades of progress on clean water, clean air, thriving wildlife habitats and climate action could now unravel.

https://secure.greenpeace.org.uk/page/s/laws-of-nature

UK Government: Show leadership on climate action now!

The Paris Agreement — the world’s first legally-binding plan to tackle climate change — is at risk of being delayed while the UK negotiates the details around Brexit.

Leaving the EU shouldn’t mean walking away from our commitments to tackle the worst effects of climate change.

https://secure.greenpeace.org.uk/page/s/uk-government-ratify-paris-agreement-now

Ask the PM to explain the deception on the true legal status of the EU vote.

The Referendum was an advisory Consultation, not a binding vote. Noone neither Government nor MP’s nor Civil Service, raised this fundamental point publicly before the vote. And have not confirmed it since. Why not? Was or is there a Conspiracy of Silence ordered by No. 10?

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/165849

Call a snap general election now that the UK have voted to leave the EU

Call a snap general election now that the UK have voted to leave the EU, so that political parties can tender their manifestos so they can lay out to us the electorate their plans for a UK outside the European Union.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/133548

Ask the Government not to invoke article 50 of the Lisbon treaty.

Parliament is sovereign and, if Brexit wins, the Government will not be legally obliged to invoke the Lisbon treaty to start an EU exit. The vote represents less than 75% of the population and already the leave propaganda has been proving untrue.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/133767

Maintain the Erasmus scheme despite Britain’s exit from the European Union

My degree programme consists of a placement year which is part-funded by the Erasmus scheme.

However, the EU referendum has endangered access to this funding for myself and thousands of others. Please support my plea to make the Erasmus scheme a vital part of the United Kingdom’s renegotiation.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/136595

Hold a second referendum on leaving the EU once exit terms have been negotiated.

On 23rd June 2016, the UK voted to leave the EU. The terms of the departure have yet to be agreed with the EU, and the possibilities vary widely on key issues such as access to the single market and limiting immigration. Once terms are agreed, a second vote should be held to confirm the decision.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/134618

Allow EU citizens to remain in the UK after exit from the EU with same rights

EU citizens who study or work and pay taxes in the UK are a fundamental part of society. The UK would not be able to function without the taxes paid in by the EU immigrants. Their rights should also not be decreased if they’ve been paying in for years.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/136668

Protect UK Environment & Wildlife – adopt European environmental legislation.

The vote to leave the EU could leave our wildlife at risk. The EU has developed a strong set of laws that protect the environment and our wildlife. As these laws will not apply when the UK leaves the EU we need new laws for the UK that give our precious wildlife and environment the same protection.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/140238

The petition calls upon MPs not to repeal the European Communities Act 1972

In the light of the close EU referendum result, which is not legally binding, the petition calls upon parliamentary sovereignty to be restored and for MPs not to repeal the European Communities Act 1972 which provides for UK membership of the European Union.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/140378

Negotiate the possibility of British citizens opting to keep their EU citizenship

We, the undersigned, call upon HM Government to pursue the creation of an EU national status or to ensure the status of EU citizenship for British nationals, who desire such status, during the period of negotiation following the triggering of Lisbon: Article 50.

We call upon Parliament to repeal The Fixed-Term Parliaments Act immediately.

A current petition to Call a snap General Election elicited the response « The Fixed-Term Parliaments Act means no Government can call a snap general election…. » from the government.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/127432

United Kingdom to not leave the EU

We the undersigned wish to not leave the EU on the grounds that a four point difference in opinion is not sufficient enough to effect such a significant, life long change to our country.

Such a margin on a jury would not secure a verdict in a UK court of law, and should not secure a verdict here.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/133606

We want the government to explain why there was no threshold in the Referendum

TU strike ballots and countries voting on constitutional matters set a 2/3 majority for change. It’s inconceivable this didn’t have one.Was it because it was advisory, a purely consultative exercise not binding on this or any other government or was it just a careless, omission?

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/164999

Call for a second EU referendum as the first did not have a clear mandate.

Leaving the EU is an irrevocable decision, which will have far reaching consequences. Due to this we must only leave if there is a clear mandate from the people, which does not exist at present since 48% voted IN. It is vital that there is a second referendum and that a clear mandate is reached.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/133753

A second EU referendum including 16 and 17 year olds

A second EU should be taken & open to 16 and 17 year olds. This vote has been much too close and doesn’t take into consideration young people who will be most affected.
Fear mongering in the media has warped facts. The drop in value of the GBP (£) should be reason enough to revote with young people

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/133542

Give all UK citizens voting rights in a second EU referendum

Many UK citizens living outside the UK were not eligible to vote in the EU referendum held on June 23, 2016. This was inappropriate and unjust as British membership of the EU has a direct impact on these citizens. In a second referendum, all UK citizens must have the right to vote.
